THAT is the commitment the Opposition Leader Don Polye has made on the matter of Thursday’s rejection of a Vote of No Confidence motion made by the Opposition.

He said that legal advice will be sought on their part to make sure that the matter does not rest there but will be heard.

“Even the committee does not look at the values of democracy and the process of parliament,” Mr Polye said.

“This team will not tire, or weaver- not going through does not mean democracy will end.”

He said that the motion before 22nd March was signed around Christmas so when parliament resumed on 22 March they had the signed one ready to put in.

“Normally you find MPs coming in Late which was at 22nd of March,” Mr Polye said

“Governor Somare even signed on the letter writing back that the signature is valid and similar every other signatory did the same and were given to the deputy speaker for validity.”

He added that regress is for the court to seek several orders- one of which is for the court to get parliament re-sit, reconvene to have the motion addressed by parliament.

“Court to make a decision of a motion of vote of no confidence before the committee is valid and complied with under constitution and various sections and given through the known process within the requirements of the standing orders of parliament.”

“Second is that the committee will not be allowed to deliberate on it as they have abused their functions and powers therefore that the matter directly be registered on parliament as an agenda to be immediately addressed by parliament.”
