PNG women in business to attend Indon trade expo

EXECUTIVE Director and founder of PNG Women in Business Janet Sape has revealed the participation of local women to attend the 30th Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 in Jakarta.

The expo aims to promote local businesses within the country, with the PNG Women in Business invited to participate in the event in October.

Mrs Sape indicated that a group from the country would be selected and asked those interested to get in touch with the PNGWIB office.

“We have a trip to Indonesia. We are looking at building a close relationship with the country because they have come and shown us, in addition to donating equipment to make sea shell necklaces, some of their ideas in handicrafts,” Sape said.

“They have given us their shell cutting machine to cut shells to do necklaces, ear rings, and jewellery.”

“Being their closest neighbour and with our women already doing business over the border with West Papua.”

“It will be open to anyone, or women who are interested in going can come and see our office.”
