ALCOHOL beverage producer Vitis Industries limited will soon officially lauch its new range of beer products.

Owner and General Manager Dr Sergey Mosin spoke of their latest product range as project that is in its initial stages, with plans to eventually service a section of the beer market that has not been captured locally in terms of beer variety.

“The last two years we have worked on this project, trying to establish it from scratch, to build the facility and look for qualified people to run the project, make samples and now we are ready to go to the market,” Mosin said.

“But at this stage our small brewery it at the Boutique brewery (microbrewery) stage- we are not at a massive production stage where we can compete with big companies like SP brewery, or other importers.”

“It will take time from our current boutique state to the massive production stage to get some section of the beer market in the country.”

He added that an additional year was need to take their brewing capacity to full scale, however, added that their beer flavours would not compete with existing beer flavours produced in the country.

“We think it will take us more than a year, because we just started at a very small scale but what we are trying to produce will not compete with the existing beer as we are trying to produce completely different types of beer. “

“They are those that are not on the market in PNG at all like sour, pale, and bitter, part of our package of beer that will come very soon.
