American star in Pom this weekend

PORT Moresby is set to host yet again another big name American artist this weekend at The Cosmopolitan night club.

American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actor T-Pain (Faheem Rasheed Najm) is set to perform to a packed house this Saturday night October 18, straight from his ‘I AM T-Pain Australian’ tour.

Added also his duties this weekend include his special appearance as a guest judge on the singing competition television show Vocal Fusion on Sunday October 19.

His debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, was released in 2005, and in 2007, he released his second studio album Epiphany, which reached number one on the Billboard 200.

His third studio album, Thr33 Ringz, was released in 2008- T-Pain has earned two Grammy Awards alongside artists Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.

T-Pain is the founder of the record label Nappy Boy Entertainment, established in 2005, and is known for using and popularizing the Auto-Tune pitch correction effect.

From 2006 to 2010, T-Pain was featured on more than 50 chart topping singles, his most successful feature to date was in Flo Rida's debut single "Low" which has since been certified 6x Platinum.

T-Pain hits include “Buy U a Drank”, “Bartender”, “Shawty Get Loose”, “5 O’Clock in the morning”, “I’m Sprung” all to be performed during his one hour show.

Concert tickets are going for K100 General Admission and K200 VIP, with an audience of 1,500 expected to attend.

Vocal Fusion live recording audience will attend for a cover charge of K30 for the 800 people audience expected beginning 6.30pm.
