DANCEHALL sensation, Sean Paul brought the house down at the Lamana Gold Club on Friday night’s first performance for the multiplatinum award winning artist.
Packed to capacity, party goers and diehard Sean Paul fans in the nation’s capital arrived in droves as the superstar belted out all the familiar tunes that have made him one of the biggest names in music in the world.
The night also saw the word PNG included in some of the on stage chants and tracks that blew the crowd into a wild frenzy of Sean Paul fever.
Expected to sing for an hour the Jamaican maestro took his performance beyond the mark for a one hour 30 minutes experience for the crowd, delivering more than 10 of his famous songs.
Earlier on in his press conference, the singer expressed excitement and great interest in the country’s vast culture and languages.
“I am very pleased to be here and am really looking forward to experiencing a piece of the culture,” Paul said.
“I have not seem much, of the Pacific, we have been to Indonesia before, been to Tahiti, and New Caledonia and Australia.”
“Definitely it is my first time in New Guinea and I have been watching a lot about the country- so much different tribes, different cultures, and over 800 different ways to speak to each other.”
“I just hope you guys can understand me and I know you can because music is a great connect with people.”
The Full Frequency tour is to promote the Jamaican artist’s latest album ‘Full Frequency’, with the artist brought over by Lamana Hotel with the Ginnen Group for the two day concert which ended last night.
