WITH rise in application with electronics for education now being rolled out throughout the country- NCDC has revealed plans to implement a computerized education system in primary schools in the capital city.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the reconstruction of Pari Primary school in NCD, Governor Parkop said that the rollout would cover both secondary to primary level education.

“We will be rolling out the computerization of our schools coming first to the secondary and then to the primary school level,” Governor Parkop said.

“We won’t be giving laptops or computers, but we will be issuing tablets with the same capacity and system of computers, enabling our children to have access to the internet to get information to complete their assessment tasks so that they will start to become the best in our country.”
He also announced that the project would be piloted first in Motu-Schools in NCD before being rolled out to other schools in the rest of the city.

“We are investing in this first with our Motu-Koita villages who we want to be the pioneers to start this project,” he added.

“After you, we can roll it out in other parts of the city in primary schools- we have to invest in education big time and that is the only pathway to success.”
