Hardware manufacturer Negliw No.89 Limited, located on Ahuia Street in the Gordons industrial area, had one of its main buildings reduced to ashes last Thursday in Port Moresby, when the building caught fire.

Workers on the scene alleged that the fire could have been started by an electrical fault within the corrugated iron building, where saw dust from processed timber were kept in, between 3 and 4pm in the afternoon.

Fire crews from the fire services were quick to the scene to bring the blaze under control and prevent further spread to other buildings and businesses nearby.

Negliw limited is specialised in roofing, piping, timber, and paint manufacturing.
