NATIONAL Museum Art and
Gallery officially launched its website last week as part of its rehabilitation
and growth efforts currently undertaken by the management.
The website was launched by
the Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Bola Kondra, and also witnessed by
the board of trustees of the museum.
It features user friendly
interfaces, along with access to information about the various galleries, also
enabling admin users to add news items, press releases, events, financial
statements, videos and photographs.
Minister Kondra welcomed the
development of the website as a medium to market, educate, and enable access to
museum activities.
"One of the fundamental
importance of the website is that the world can look at the PNG museum art and
gallery as a reliable source of information about different cultures,
artifacts, languages, research, and events at the museum."
"Users of the website
can subscribe to the museum's weekly email newsletter that will have
information about culture, tourism and research," Kondra said.
He commended the management
for the good work in finally developing the website for the organization.
Kondra, however, reminded the
staff of the museum of the responsibility to update ther content and own the
website by keeping it alive with dynamic content.
Internet users can access the
website at www.museumpng.gov.pg
