THE Cosmopolitan
have done it yet again when they presented a live performance by Tevin
Campbell, to an audience of diehard fans walking down memory lane, last Friday
night.
Being one of the
youngest solo artists ever to be signed to a major record label during the 90s
at the age of 12, the smooth singing sensation did not disappoint his fans-
singing his famous love ballads like ‘Can we talk’ and ‘I’m ready’.
The R&B
singer, who was taken under the wing of legendary music producer Quincy Jones,
and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Michael Jackson, performed with the
support of our very own resident DJ AK47.
It was his first
time to Papua New Guinea, which he said was exciting for him, considering he did
not think he had fans in this part of the world.
Ecstatic PNG
fans, who followed the singer throughout the 90s sang along to every song
performed, with his famous high flexible tone creating riffs out of this world.
In a message to
his fans he also said he was working on some new material with highly acclaimed
producer Teddy Riley, for his long awaited entrance back into the music scene,
after an extended absence.
The Cosmopolitan
along with the Ginnen Group have been bringing along some of the biggest groups
to have hit the country’s shores in recent times, and have indicated for Port
Moresby music lovers to brace themselves for another huge act that will be
announced very soon.
