ONE of the biggest Jamaican reggae groups of the 1970s and 80s, Inner Circle are set rock the nation’s capital Port Moresby for the first time, at the party capital in the Pacific, the Lamana Gold Club this weekend on Saturday June 21.

Originally called The Inner Circle Band and formed in 1968, the band achieved major success in the 70s with Jacob Miller as their lead singer, but split after his death in 1980.

They reformed in 1986 and had a major household hit with their 1987 song ‘Bad Boys’, which was the feature soundtrack to the famous franchise film ‘Bad Boys’, starring American Actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.

The band is known for their blending of pop and rock with reggae, with other famous well known tracks as ‘Sweet (A La La La La Long)’, ‘Rock With You’, and ‘Bad to the Bone’, to name a few.

With a huge fan base in the country, the Gold Club is set for a packed venue as reggae fans all over the city descend to the party capital for the one night only event.

Current members of the band include; Ian Lewis, bass and vocals; Roger Lewis, guitar and vocals; Bernard "Touter" Harvey, keyboards and vocals; and Lancelot Hall, drums and percussion.

Tickets for the concert are available at the Lamana Hotel reception area- with Arena floor tickets going at K200, Black Stage K250, and Balcony tickets at K300.
